Job Description
What you will be doing ?
Our Assurance Technical and Training (ATAT) team is looking for an experienced Senior Audit Training Manager to join their team in London. You'll be one of eleven people in ATAT, delivering key services such as providing engaging training on emerging issues in various formats to clients and internal teams, and managing bespoke audit methodology to ensure high audit quality.
The ATAT team is embedded in the Assurance and Business Services (ABS) departments across the firm, working closely with audit partners and staff to provide relevant, timely, and practical accounting and auditing advice, not just compliant. The team also supports the firm's relationships with FRC and ICAEW, sitting on committees to ensure our views are heard.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing UK GAAP, IFRS, audit technical support and training via our internal mailbox, webinars, and face-to-face sessions to ABS and other departments.
* Developing and implementing our bespoke audit methodology in collaboration with ABS Partners and staff to drive audit quality across all offices.
* Researching emerging technical issues, producing practical guidance, and evaluating current processes against new requirements.
* Performing hot and cold file reviews to ensure high audit quality.
* Coaching junior team members to help them reach their potential.
* Delivering external webinars and guidance to enhance the firm’s external technical profile.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA).
* Good knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards, with practical experience in developing or implementing procedures.
* Strong presentation skills for small groups and larger audiences.
* Project management experience and ability to implement initiatives effectively.
* Excellent drafting skills.
