About the role:
We are looking for a Team Manager for aFirst Contact/MASH team in the North East. The team is the first point of contact for new contacts about children, young people and their families in Durham. The MASH supports local safeguarding partners to share information and work together.
You will play a critical role:
5. listening and responding to staff and partners at all levels and from a range of different professional backgrounds
6. interpreting information, data and intelligence
7. communicating and giving feedback
8. making informed and evidence based decisions
9. creating a positive interface for all MASH practitioners and partners
10. keeping pace in a fast moving multi-agency environment
11. adhering to strict timescales
About you:
To undertake this role you must be confident in risk identification and response, and a skilled decision-maker, experienced in child protection social work.
You must be a nurturing and encouraging manager able to support a team through a period of change.
You will be supported to manage the team of social workers and first contact officers by 3 social work consultants.
What you need:
12. A degree in Social Work or equivalent
13. Registered with Social Work England
14. At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
15. Completed relevant post-qualifying training
16. Enhanced DBS check
17. Excellent communication and written skills
