The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Dental Hygienist to join our Surrey team. You will be central to delivering our hallmark patient experience—combining clinical precision with personalised education and care. As part of our fast‑growing group, you will work with cutting‑edge technology, a collaborative clinical team, and a patient base that values quality above all else. This is a self‑employed position ideal for an experienced, ambitious hygienist ready to thrive in a premium private setting.


Key Responsibilities – Clinical Excellence

* Deliver meticulous professional dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to the highest standard
* Perform in‑scope treatments including composite fillings, fissure sealing, and advanced preventive therapies with precision and attention to aesthetic outcomes
* Capture and manage digital radiographs using state‑of‑the‑art imaging systems, ensuring patient safety and diagnostic accuracy


Patient Experience & Education

* Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments with detailed patient communication and evidence‑based findings
* Educate patients using a consultative approach, empowering them to take ownership of their oral health and understand treatment value
* Build lasting patient relationships through exceptional communication, empathy, and a commitment to their long‑term wellbeing
* Support dentists seamlessly during examinations and procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring flawless patient comfort


Clinical Leadership & Standards

* Maintain exemplary sterilisation and infection control protocols, setting the standard for clinical safety across the practice
* Ensure all equipment and instruments are immaculately maintained and functioning optimally
* Contribute to practice excellence through attention to detail, continuous process improvement, and alignment with our high standards
* Stay at the forefront of clinical knowledge, pursuing ongoing professional development and adopting innovations in dental technology


Essential Skills & Qualifications – Professional Requirements

* GDC (General Dental Council) registration in good standing
* Current professional indemnity insurance with appropriate coverage
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or willingness to obtain)
* Up‑to‑date CPD compliance and demonstrated commitment to professional excellence


Essential Skills & Qualifications – Clinical & Technical Expertise

* Advanced proficiency in digital imaging systems, practice management software, and modern clinical technology
* Deep knowledge of oral anatomy, periodontal disease, and evidence‑based preventive and therapeutic techniques
* Meticulous infection control and health and safety practice; commitment to maintaining the highest clinical standards


Essential Skills & Qualifications – Interpersonal & Professional Excellence

* Exceptional communication and patient education skills; able to engage, educate, and inspire confidence across diverse patient groups
* Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and meticulous in clinical documentation and record‑keeping

Essential Skills & Qualifications – Desirable Skills & Experience

* Experience in premium private practice or high‑value patient environments
* Advanced procedural scope or experience with cosmetic dentistry and aesthetic treatments
* Familiarity with practice management systems and digital clinical workflows
* Track record of building loyal patient relationships and contributing to practice growth
* Interest in multi‑disciplinary team leadership or clinical mentorship


Role Details

* Employment Type: Self‑Employed / Freelance
* Working Hours: Flexible, typically 6–30 hours per week (negotiable based on patient demand)
* Remuneration: GBP 30–40+ per hour (negotiable; premium rates for advanced scope and established patient relationships)
* Location: Surrey, UK (affluent location; fully private; in person)
