About the RoleWe are recruiting for Secondary SEN Teaching roles in a range of specialist settings, including: Autism (ASC) specialist schools SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) provisions MLD/SLD (Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties) schools PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties) departments Specialist sensory and complex needs settings Roles involve working with small classes, delivering highly differentiated lessons, and adapting the curriculum to support individual learning pathways across KS3, KS4, and preparing pupils for Post-16 transitions.Positions are available on a long-term, short-term, or day-to-day supply basis, with opportunities for permanent placements. What We're Looking ForWe welcome applications from teachers who: Hold QTS or equivalent Have experience working within a special school or specialist SEN environment Are confident teaching across a range of subjects, with flexibility to adapt learning for varied needs Have strong behaviour regulation and communication skills Demonstrate creativity, patience, resilience, and a commitment to inclusive practice Are experienced or open to using approaches such as PECS, Makaton, sensory-based learning, or therapeutic strategies Why Work with Hays Education?
