WorkwithYorkshire are working with a law firm who have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Acceptance Analyst to join their Risk and Compliance team.
This is a permanent role, ideally full time but the client may consider fewer hours. Once training is completed, the role will be hybrid, working 2 – 3 days from their office based in Leeds.
A competitive rate of pay is available.
This role would suit someone with experience in the onboarding arena, ideally in the legal industry, however applicants with a background in other regulated professional service industries may be considered.
This role may include supervisory responsibilities; therefore, candidates with team management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Duties:
Manage all day to day tasks relating to all aspects of the Client inception processes;
Conduct research on clients and undertake all Client Due Diligence (CDD) checks in line with the money laundering regulations;
Advise partners and fee earners on specific CDD requirements and risk issues relating to anti-money laundering and CDD;
Assess the risk profile of new and existing clients and respective matters; escalating issues appropriately;
Other Business Acceptance and onboarding duties, as required.
Key skills and experience;
Experience within a regulated environment (ideally legal) of conducting Client Due Diligence checks
Familiarity with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (as amended) and the SRA’s rules regarding risk and compliance.
Excellent research and communication skills, along with a solution orientated approach to your work.
Collaboration and teamwork, keeping calm under pressure and having a commercial outlook are highly valued.
