Payroll Clerk – West Mercia Police

The main purpose of the Payroll Clerk role is to support the Senior Payroll Clerk to ensure the effective day to day operation of the West Mercia Police payrolls to ensure that individuals are paid correctly and on time. To provide advice on police regulations, police staff terms and conditions and HMRC PAYE tax rules. To support the Senior Payroll Clerk to meet statutory and other reporting requirements placed on the PCC and Chief Constable by other organisations including the HMRC.


Responsibilities

* The Payroll Clerk role is a hybrid (mix of home & office working) role
* Part time – 18.5 hours per week
* Secondment or Fixed term contract for 12 months
* Candidates must have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years to meet the vetting level required for the post


Base pay range

This range is provided by West Mercia Police. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.


Minimum requirements

* Residency in the UK for the last 3 years (vetting requirement)
