Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our GP Practice and enhancing patient satisfaction.
Duties
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
* Schedule patient appointments and manage EMIS within a GP Practice .
* Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
* Process Task and emails information accurately.
* Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate optimal care.
* Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
* Help cover Annual Leave and Sickness when required
Skills
* Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
* Previous EMIS or System One and Docman preferable
* Strong administrative experience, including proficiency in using computer systems and office software.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour.
* Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills to manage appointments, records, and other administrative tasks efficiently.
* A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
