We are seeking to appoint a self‑motivated, reliable, multi‑skilled, proactive and organized Assistant Site Officer to join our Facilities team, who maintain the centre over a 7‑day rota, so some weekend work is included. We are looking for someone who can play a vital role in the daily running of the centre, who takes great pride in their works and pays attention to detail. You will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
* Be committed to the welfare and safety of staff, young people, parents and visitors at all times
* Work as part of a team to maintain the centre efficiently
* You will provide a comprehensive site management service within the centre to include security, cleaning, minor maintenance, repairs and monitoring and maintaining the fabric of the building
* Be able to offer a range of DIY skills
* Have the ability and knowledge to liaise with external contractors and agencies linked to the school building

Working hours: 36 hours / 5 shifts per week averaged over a 4‑week rota including weekend shifts. Shifts are between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00. Also including an on‑call rota from 18:00 to 07:30.
About the Facility
Barton Moss is a multi‑disciplinary Secure Care Centre based in Eccles on the outskirts of Salford with easy access from the M60 Manchester outer ring road and the M6 motorway. Barton Moss has four residential units and a Step‑Up Unit and cares for young men within the youth justice system. Over the last few years we have been granted major funding which has contributed to the development of an excellent state‑of‑the‑art campus including educational, vocational and recreational facilities. The Centre, which has achieved over ten consecutive Outstanding Ofsted reports and is highly regarded by the Youth Justice Board, offers a very high standard of care that encourages young people's educational development, emotional health and personal wellbeing.
