Purpose of the role
To manage and operate a set of weaving machines, produce woven fabrics to set schedules and to meet customer demands. We have two open positions, Permanent Nights, and a Temporary Days.
The day to day
* To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
* To manage and weave up to 12 looms using both natural & synthetic yarns.
* To understand and operate both dobby and jacquard looms
* To maintain a high standard of quality when weaving on the looms, repair warp & weft breaks, ensure weft creels are filled and full pieces of fabric are doffed at the correct length.
* Checking work to ensure fabrics are defect free and ensuring all quality procedures are followed and documented.
* To take the responsibility to stop machines weaving if they suspect any quality problems. Ensuring any quality issues are reported to their team leader and loom tuner.
* To ensure the working environment is maintained to a high standard, maintaining their work areas in a safe, clean & tidy manner with a high standard of housekeeping.
Other considerations
* To manage and weave up to 12 looms using both natural & synthetic yarns.
* To understand and operate both dobby and jacquard looms
* Checking work to ensure fabrics are defect free and ensuring all quality procedures are followed and documented.
* Ensuring any quality issues are reported to their team leader and loom tuner.
* We have two open positions, one permanent night shift, the other is Temp days. Temp contract till around January 1st.
