Job Description:
Overview: First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Commercial Quality Control Inspector to join their team.
The client is a property maintenance and installation organization, specializing in servicing gas central heating and hot water systems for private, commercial landlords, and industrial property owners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform quality checks on works carried out by all operatives (company, agency, and subcontractors) for gas installation, maintenance, and non-gas works (post-inspection).
2. Visit and check works in progress as directed.
3. Verify completed works for safe operation and compliance with Gas Safe requirements and safety regulations, especially Regulation 26/9 of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
4. Assess quality of work and time on site as requested.
5. Report on tasks performed and parts fitted upon request.
6. Identify and advise on safety/quality faults and necessary actions.
7. Provide feedback on customer satisfaction as requested.
8. Conduct surveys as per QHSE/Quality Manager approval.
9. Liaise with clients and agents as needed.
10. Investigate and prepare reports on claims and complaints.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Essential:
1. ACS qualifications – minimum of CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1 & CPA1.
2. Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
3. Experience working in a multi-site company.
4. Experience in high-volume, high-pressure environments.
5. Minimum 3 years of experience.
6. Experience diagnosing faults on domestic gas central heating systems.
7. Full driving license.
Desirable:
1. HTR1 qualification.
2. Knowledge of Energy Efficiency.
3. DAH1, Unvented Hot Water, WRAS (water supply regulations 1999).
4. Significant experience in customer service roles involving direct public interaction.
