About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to support a n Accounts Payable team on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent.
This position plays a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring purchase invoices and orders are processed accurately and efficiently in line with business requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting the Accounts Payable team with the processing of purchase orders (circa 2,000+ per month)
* Working closely with the wider finance team to provide day-to-day support
* Resolving issues and disputes relating to purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner
* Corresponding with suppliers and internal stakeholders professionally and promptly, escalating issues where required
* Supporting the management team to ensure best practice and smooth operation of iDocuments and SAP systems
* Undertaking additional duties as required to support the needs of the business

Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or finance role (essential)
* Experience working within a finance team (essential)
* Knowledge of accounting software; SAP Business One experience would be advantageous
* Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Qualifications & Education:
* Preferably a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English
