This is a new opportunity to work for a global household business with numerous popular brands. They seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
The role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad indirect category management background are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
* Develop strategies for procurement, including delivery and performance, with a focus on annual savings
* Create group-wide category plans to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers for local offices
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Directors to Board members using strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting and feedback
* Model procurement excellence by embodying company values and delivering high standards
* Oversee strategic projects and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency
Requirements:
* Experience in indirect procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics, and Operations
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally in a global environment
* Experience managing complex international projects with Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers
* Confidence in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement, suppliers, and business needs
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and countries
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential
