We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly, supportive and highly motivated Therapy Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a specialist educational setting where therapy is fully integrated into students' learning and daily routines. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in promoting the holistic development of independence, communication and functional skills through evidence-based practice. You will be accountable for delivering a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy service and supporting students with a range of communication and feeding needs. Our provision focuses on interventions that support: Feeding and swallowing difficulties Speech and language development Social communication skills Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Universal, targeted and specialist levels of intervention You will manage a specialist caseload, carrying out assessments, developing therapy programmes and working collaboratively with teaching, care and therapy colleagues to ensure students can access learning and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with educational staff, embedding therapy targets into classroom practice and contributing to a truly integrated approach to special education. Qualifications Essential Appropriate Speech and Language Therapy degree or postgraduate qualification. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Experience and Knowledge Essential Post-registration experience managing a specialist paediatric caseload. At least two years' post-registration experience, including experience working with children and young people in a school or educational setting. Knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment planning and implementation of therapy programmes. Experience using standardised assessments and clinical observations to inform practice. Understanding of evidence-based approaches within Speech and Language Therapy.
