Job Title: Security Manager
Location: Westgate Oxford – OX1 1PE
Overview
To oversee and coordinate security efforts across the centre, ensuring the safety of personnel, facilities, assets, and information. The Security Manager develops and enforces security policies, procedures, and protocols to mitigate risks and respond to incidents effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols.
* Manage and supervise a team of security supervisors and officers.
* Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
* Monitor security systems (e.g., CCTV, alarms, access control) and respond to security breaches or emergencies.
* Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and external stakeholders as necessary.
* Lead investigations into incidents such as thefts, accidents, or breaches of security.
* Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety and legal regulations.
* Organize security training sessions and drills for staff.
* Prepare reports on security status, incidents, and performance metrics.
* Manage the security budget and procurement of equipment or services.
* Act as the Duty Manager for the scheme on a rotational basis.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a security manager or similar role.
* In-depth knowledge of security protocols and emergency response planning.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, HSE guidelines).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Competency in using security technology and systems.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle crises.
Qualifications
* SIA licence (Door Supervisor & CCTV)
* IOSH or NEBOSH
* KIASU duty management
* First aid
