Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. Monday to Friday with a Saturday working on a Rota, three days a week.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.
Duties
* Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
* Assist pharmacists in medication administration and provide guidance to patients regarding their prescriptions.
* Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory levels of pharmaceutical products.
* Accurately prepare Blister packs for patients as per agree protocol.
* Conduct regular checks on medication stock, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and safely.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective medication management.
* Uphold hygiene standards and comply with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy dispenser / Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of working in a pharmacy environment
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
* A keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritising tasks effectively.
* Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support.
* Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a small Team.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous.
