Role information
As a Military Training Instructor at LCG, you will provide outstanding teaching and learning throughout the Level 2 qualification for our learners within centre. Lessons should be detailed, well planned and engaging, and you will lead learners who are motivated to achieve.

Duties
* Keep up to date with subject knowledge to ensure lessons are challenging
* Maintain up-to-date industrial knowledge by attending relevant events and activities
* Use assessment to inform learners on how to improve
* Ensure learning is checked for effectiveness and provide timely support
* Prepare demanding lessons to help learners realise their potential
* Deliver content on physical and emotional well-being
* Reflect learner diversity in resources and provide understanding of people and communities beyond immediate experience
* Identify learners who are falling behind and support them to catch up
* Set challenging, individual targets for all learners
* Support Maths/English development for all learners
* Track work experience via the FCA in England to ensure learners engage with MPCT partner employers
* Support learner induction with the Centre Manager
* Keep MIS up to date with learner details and progress
* Carry out progress reviews to support educational development
* Deliver physical training using the bib system and challenge learners appropriately
* Deliver Military Training Days following the military skills portfolios
* Listen to learners and parents to improve teaching and learning
* Attend regular training on teaching and learning
* Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice and guidance as part of your role
* Operate in line with company values and expected behaviours

Required and desirable criteria
* Experience of working within one of the uniformed services (minimum 3 years)
Desirable
* GCSEs in Maths and English
* Knowledge of vocational qualifications or education sector
* Teaching qualification or teaching/instructing experience
* Military or civilian Physical Training qualification
* Experience of working with young people
