We are currently recruiting for a Claims Analyst to join a growing and specialist insurance business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a financial or analytical background looking to develop their career within claims, insurance, or financial services.
The Role
As a Claims Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end claims process, working closely with senior team members to investigate, assess, and manage claims through to completion. This is a detail-oriented position requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
You will be responsible for ensuring claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in line with policy terms, while delivering positive customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the management and administration of claims from initial review through to resolution
* Conducting detailed financial analysis using company accounts, bank statements, and supporting documentation
* Reviewing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial records to validate claims
* Assessing claims against policy terms and conditions, including coverage and risk presentation
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date claims records and documentation
* Producing clear reports and findings for senior stakeholders
* Liaising with external partners and stakeholders as part of the claims process
* Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and efficiency
* Gathering customer feedback and contributing to case studies where appropriate
About You
We’re looking for someone who is analytical, organised, and eager to learn. You’ll be comfortable working with financial data and have strong attention to detail.
Key skills and experience:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Highly organised with a process-driven mindset
* Working knowledge of Excel and general IT systems
* Background in finance, accountancy, or financial services (or relevant education)
Desirable (but not essential):
* Understanding of financial statements (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow)
* Ability to assess business solvency and financial stability
* Progress towards or interest in professional qualifications (e.g. AAT, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
* Exposure to business funding or lending environments
