About the school:
This is a primary SEN school in Bromley that supports children with autism and associated needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment, helping pupils develop communication, social, and academic skills through tailored teaching and a holistic approach.
About the role:
The SEN Teacher will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for primary-aged pupils with ASD. You will manage a team of support staff, implement individual learning plans, and work collaboratively with therapists and parents to ensure pupils thrive. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with strong potential for professional growth.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Deliver engaging lessons adapted for pupils with ASD and complex needs
- Differentiate learning to suit a wide range of abilities
- Manage and support teaching assistants in class
- Encourage independence, communication, and positive behaviour
- Work closely with families and multi-agency teams
Requirements - The ideal candidate would have:
- QTS or QTLS with experience teaching in SEN or mainstream primary
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with ASD and communication needs
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, creative, and resilient approach
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
