Lead Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) Technician,Scotland-based | Onshore & Offshore |
An established engineering services company is seeking aLead PHE Technicianto join their team in Dyce, Aberdeenshire. This is a hands-on role involving the inspection, maintenance, and servicing of plate heat exchangers across onshore sites and offshore installations. The position includes travel to remote locations — including distilleries in the Scottish Highlands — so afull UK driving licence is essential.
Working Hours:
* Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm
* Friday: 7:30am–3:00pm
* Occasional overtime and offshore work required
Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of technicians
* Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble plate heat exchangers
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
* Diagnose mechanical issues and implement solutions
* Coordinate tools, materials, and schedules
* Maintain accurate service records
️ Requirements:
* 5–8 years of hands-on experience with PHEs, ideally in a supervisory role
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Experience with various PHE types (gasketed, brazed, welded, shell & tube)
