The Role
We are looking to appoint a Business Manager who will report to and work closely with the Deputy Nurse Director, Acute Services in the provision of senior leadership support across a complex, diverse and concurrent portfolio of work programmes. This post will manage the work of the Deputy Nurse Director for Acute Services office and will provide comprehensive Business Management and Service Development support to them and to their senior team. As a member of the Senior Management Team the post holder will contribute to the achievement of the business performance objectives, leading on financial management and reporting, workforce performance, staff governance, clinical governance and contribute to delivery of the Board’s key objectives.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
This is a fixed‑term post of 1 year. The role is based at JB Russell House, G12 0XH. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide operational support to the Deputy Nurse Director for Acute Services and lead on the delivery of projects associated with the work, interpreting, developing and implementing policies and guidance for local and national priorities.
* Implement effective systems and processes, including development of databases, project plans and monitoring performance; establish effective communication and act as liaison between the Deputy Nurse Director, Chief Nurses and internal and external parties.
* Work in an innovative and demanding environment and provide a consistently high level of support to the Deputy Nurse Director for Acute Services, whilst managing the varied key tasks associated with the post.
Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and Experience
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience). The ideal candidate has a strong track record of managing projects at a senior level in a large and complex organisation and can demonstrate a track record in the development and contribution to policy, planning and service delivery, including evidence of performance management, monitoring and evaluation techniques.
