Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Senior preferred - open to Electrical Technicians & Maintenance Engineers looking to move into design) The Opportunity We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a global leader in materials processing equipment, delivering innovative solutions across recycling, washing, crushing and screening. Due to continued demand, they're expanding their Electrical Team in Dungannon. While this position sits at Senior level, the business is very open to candidates who may be slightly below senior grade, provided they can clearly demonstrate strong electrical capability, practical experience, and the appetite to develop further into design. This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on engineers who want to transition into electrical design, as well as experienced design engineers seeking flexibility and technical ownership. Formal qualifications are preferred but not essential. Real-world experience and technical competence are equally valued. Top 3 Things to Know Senior level preferred, flexibility on grade for strong candidates Hybrid / flexible working available once established Clear learning curve from hands-on electrical work into design The Role As part of the Electrical Team, you will: Design and develop 3-phase electrical control systems Produce electrical schematics and technical documentation Develop or support PLC and HMI software (Allen Bradley & IFM Systems) Write or contribute to Functional Specifications Act as a key technical contact for internal teams and customers Support new product development and continuous improvement projects Assist with factory testing, commissioning and occasional site support Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards The scope and responsibility of the role will be aligned to your experience, with a clear pathway to full senior status if you're not there yet. The Person You don't need to tick every box. Strong fundamentals and the right mindset matter most.
