Position: Autism Support Specialist
Type: Part-time, project-based
Compensation: $140–$175/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 4–6 weeks
Commitment: ~10 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
* Create detailed content on managing key autism-related challenges like sensory issues, meltdowns, nutrition, and potty training.
* Develop guidance on childcare sourcing, sitter/nanny evaluation, and support systems for families.
* Document approaches to community rehabilitation and long-term housing planning for adults with autism.
* Provide expertise on parent support frameworks and family dynamics, including couples-support guidance.
* Ensure clarity and accuracy aligned with project standards while working independently and asynchronously.
Qualifications
Must-Have
* 8+ years of experience as a social worker, parent coach, or autism-focused support leader.
* Proven experience advising families on common autism care challenges.
* Deep familiarity with daycare, childcare, and community service resources.
* Experience with housing and long-term planning for adults with special needs.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
