The role is focused on collating and editing programme information that abides by the department’s editorial policy and can be published across EPGs, TV listings and streaming platforms for all Channel 4 channels, and managing the publication of information in relevant systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Editing high-quality, well-written, accurate programme information and metadata for streaming platforms, the Listings Site and EPGs
2. Ensuring that content is consistent with the department’s editorial policy
3. Publication and ownership of listings and/or EPGs including publication of schedules, synopses and updates, while meeting regular deadlines
4. Management and publication of editorial metadata for streaming platforms
5. Managing the workload efficiently and meeting regular, strict publication deadlines
6. Working flexibly, and completing any last-minute changes accurately and promptly
7. Liaising with internal stakeholders and external contacts, and performing tasks to support the collective efforts of the Programme Information team
8. Developing and adapting to responsibilities as the role changes with the ever-changing industry trends
9. Developing a good understanding of C4 systems and applications
10. This role will be responsible for editorial metadata on content commissioned from all Channel 4 locations
11. Working independently and building relationships with the department and stakeholders

13. Accuracy, excellent standards of writing and grammar, keen attention to detail, and the initiative to self-manage are all essential
14. An aptitude for different types of software and programmes is important. The ability to embrace technology is essential as the job requires data input across a variety of systems.
15. A questioning mind and awareness of sensitivities regarding programme content are also key
16. A flexible approach to work and an ability to work well under pressure, to short-term deadlines, and to balance competing priorities are vital
17. Demonstrable editorial awareness
18. Experience of working on websites in an editorial or technical role is an advantage
19. Knowledge of relevant compliance and rights issues is beneficial
