Operations & Standards Manager – CPASE Health Club
Location: Clare's Space Boutique Health Club
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (primarily Monday to Friday 6am-3pm)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations and Standards Manager to take full responsibility for the efficient and seamless day-to-day running of our luxury boutique Health Club. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong leader with exceptional organisational skills and a focus on maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full accountability for the management and oversight of the club's operations.
* Ensure the club operates smoothly, with meticulous attention to detail and high service standards for our members.
* Lead, support, and develop the team, fostering a positive working environment.
* Perform hands-on maintenance duties to a high standard, ensuring all equipment, including the pool plant room, is well-maintained.
* Ability to follow instructions, be technical, and handle basic maintenance jobs efficiently.
* Oversee housekeeping and cleaning, ensuring the club is maintained to the highest standards at all times.
* Develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures to support business compliance and goals. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Generate and provide reports and KPIs to the Managing Director on operational performance and improvements.
* Manage contractors and ensure timely completion of any outsourced maintenance work.
* Act as the club's generalist HR representative, handling recruitment, mentoring and disciplining of staff.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong leadership and team development skills.
* Proven experience in hands-on maintenance and operational management within a leisure, fitness or health club environment.
* Ability to follow instructions and apply technical skills to carry out basic maintenance tasks.
* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.
* Ability to generate reports and track KPIs for senior management.
* Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Knowledge of the Health Club Industry is essential
This is a hands-on role, requiring an individual who can take full responsibility for maintaining the high standards of CPASE Health Club while ensuring efficient club operations.
