Position Overview
In this exciting role, you will respond to customer service requests, diagnose issues, and provide detailed information to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in the field!
Your Responsibilities
* Provide timely estimates for arrival at customer sites based on job instructions.
* Communicate effectively with site management to register your presence and adhere to site requirements.
* Diagnose equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators to gather necessary information.
* Identify required parts for repairs and manage requisition processes.
* Perform repair and service work according to agreed plans, ensuring machines meet required standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Education: Apprentice trained or formally trained Engineer (NVQ Level 3 preferred in Land Based Engineering / Plant Fitting).
* Experience: Significant experience as a field service engineer or a qualified apprentice.
* Skills: Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills; effective problem-solving abilities; and a motivated, dynamic self-starter.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with field-based diagnostic tools and heavy earth-moving equipment.
* License: Valid LDV driving license.
