The Role
As a Senior Production Lead, you will take ownership of the shop floor and drive excellence through:
Leading all day-to-day production activities to ensure targets are met. This includes the end-to-end manufacture of implants—from precision cutting and sewing to packaging, sterilisation, and shipping.
Team Development: Taking an active role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing an expert small team over the next 12–18 months.
Acting as the primary point of contact for the production team, handling first-tier management responsibilities, and ensuring a high-performance culture.
Continuous Improvement (CI): Leading production CI initiatives by liaising directly with the QA and Design departments to refine production workflows and enhance quality control processes.
Providing essential support to the Production Manager and deputising for them when required to ensure seamless departmental operations.
Ensuring all manufacturing documentation is completed accurately and managing sensitive patient data and digital imagery with total confidentiality.
The Ideal Candidate:
To be successful as a Senior Production Lead, you will:
Possess a focused, positive, and enthusiastic personality with the natural authority to lead and inspire others.
Have a proven track record in a cleanroom environment and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
Show strong attention to detail and a high level of conscientiousness regarding life-changing medical products.
Be confident in sewing and the use of industrial sewing machines (or demonstrate a high aptitude and willingness to master this technical skill).
Have excellent communication skills, capable of liaising across departments (QA, Design, Management) and with external distributors.
Demonstrate strong computer literacy for data input, filing, and digital image manipulation.
