What you'll be doing
Governance
* Maintain good knowledge of and adhere to the Company's GMCEs, BMS, and other governance policies.
Business and Customer Awareness
* Have the ability to see the bigger picture.
* Take initiative to respond to customer requirements.
Cost Engineering
* Understand economic factors affecting the construction industry.
* Provide commercial input to Value Engineering reviews for various forms of construction.
* Manage the feedback of commercial data to Planning and Estimating teams.
* Maximize digital opportunities.
Estimating
* Support the review of tenders and cost data.
* Manage the preparation of Target Cost for projects.
Planning
* Coordinate the commercial team to ensure programme issues are identified and addressed.
* Manage the preparation and review of Earned Value Management.
Project Management
* Manage the preparation of monthly CVR and related commercial reports.
* Report and explain commercial progress to senior divisional staff.
Provide feedback of commercial data to Planning, Estimating, Marketing, and Sales teams.
Who we're looking for
Essential qualifications:
* BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
* Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
Desirable qualities/experience:
* Strong communication skills.
* Teamwork and leadership abilities.
* Strategic change management experience.
* Achievement-oriented mindset.
* Business and customer awareness.
* Ability to promote organizational aims and manage customer needs.
