Location: Wakefield/Warrington/Birmingham/Leeds/Manchester and surrounding areas
Salary: up to £60,000 + car allowance
Working pattern: Site based with regular travel across the Midlands, Yorkshire and Northeast/West

HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for an Environmental Manager to work for one of the UK’s most forward-thinking construction companies, delivering high quality projects across diverse sectors.
The role will be focused on site-based compliance checks and audits to ensure adherence to environmental legislation and company standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide hands-on practical support for environmental management across a wide range of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and large-scale industrial developments, by advising on best practices.
* Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to proactively identify environmental risk, develop mitigation strategies, and embed sustainable practices into project planning and execution phases.
* Prepare comprehensive, data-driven reports detailing compliance audit outcomes, non-conformities, and actionable recommendations.
* Act as the primary environmental liaison on-site, providing guidance to teams, resolving compliance queries, and promoting a culture of environmental accountability through training, and clear communication of best practices.
* Monitor legislative updates and industry guidelines, analyse their operational implications, and communicate changes effectively to internal teams.
* Proven experience in environmental management, within construction.
* Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and it’s application on construction sites
