Job Overview
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Band 7 Clinical Lead Nurse to join our community Autism services covering Leicestershire, Leicester, and Rutland. The role will be split across 3 services:
1. 0.6 WTE within our Specialist Autism Team (SAT): Providing support for service users aged 14 years and above to understand their diagnosis, its impact, and how their individual needs can be supported. Opportunities include working directly with service users, facilitating group workshops, and liaising with colleagues across Health, Social Care, and Education. The SAT is a multidisciplinary team, and you will be part of the leadership team alongside colleagues from Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy. You will be responsible for line management of the Nursing team and supporting daily decision-making.
2. 0.4 WTE within our Adult Autism Assessment Service (AAAS): Conducting Autism Assessments for service users aged 18 years and above. Qualification and experience in undertaking ADOS assessments, both face-to-face and via MS Teams, are required. You will also support the Team's Operational Manager and supervise staff as needed.
A background in Mental Health or Learning Disability nursing is advantageous.
This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work from Trust offices and remotely.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties and Responsibilities)
* Manage and take overall responsibility for care quality, performance, and clinical activity by providing professional nursing leadership, guidance, clinical advice, and management focusing on patient safety, effectiveness of interventions, patient experience, and the care environment.
* Ensure the delivery of a clinically effective service that meets the needs of individuals, families, and communities in line with development plans, policies, and procedures.
* Develop specialist care interventions and care plans.
* Foster a culture of open and transparent networking with internal and external multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
* Perform and monitor comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating care delivery accordingly.
* Manage the delivery of specialist care to individuals and groups.
* Promote involvement and engagement of clients and carers in all stages of care planning and evaluation.
* Maintain effective multidisciplinary communication to meet care needs, support ongoing care, and ensure safe discharge when necessary.
* Communicate complex information about clients’ conditions to the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment delivery.
* Use advanced skills and expert knowledge to lead clinically and enable others to deliver best practices across the service.
