My client is a Chartered Independent Financial Advisory firm based in Chester, who have a passion for financial planning and provide expert, impartial financial advice for individuals, families, and businesses. They focus on personal goals, investment opportunities, planning and saving for retirement, and improving tax efficiency.
We are urgently seeking a Paraplanner to join an existing team of qualified Paraplanners supporting 9 Financial Advisers. The ideal candidate will be Level 4 Diploma qualified or working towards it, with experience providing technical support within a Financial Planning firm.
Specifically, you'll be responsible for:
* Preparing analysis of clients' existing portfolios
* Providing technical support to Advisers
* Completing calculations (e.g., income tax, IHT, Capital Gains Tax, Lifetime Allowance, Pension Annual Allowance, Carry Forward, Chargeable Gains, Cashflow Modelling, etc.)
* Working closely with the Adviser to research and formulate appropriate advice
* Preparing Recommendation Reports and supplementary documentation
* Adhering to Innes Reid’s compliance procedures, core values, and maintaining high standards of client service
* Regular liaison with product providers, account managers, and clients
* Developing and maintaining knowledge of financial products and markets to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
We require a candidate with previous experience working within an IFA firm, who is organized, methodical, and has excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize, meet targets and deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with analytical and numerical skills, are essential. You should be Level 4 Diploma qualified or working towards it, with relevant experience in the Financial Advice sector. Experience with platforms such as Intelliflow, Selectapension, Trigold, Assureweb, and others like Abrdn, Aviva, and Aegon would be an advantage.
