The Independent Schools' Bursars Association (ISBA) supports senior staff in independent schools across the UK by providing expert advice, training, resources, and a strong peer network. With over 1,200 member schools, ISBA plays a vital role in helping bursars and other senior leaders navigate the complex landscape of school operations and compliance. The Membership Team is central to this mission, ensuring that our schools receive a responsive, high-quality service and have access to the support they need.
We are now looking to recruit a full-time Membership Officer. This role provides vital administrative support within the Membership Team, helping to maintain accurate records, respond to member queries, and support key membership processes throughout the year.
This is a customer-focused role requiring excellent attention to detail, confident use of systems, and a helpful, team-oriented approach.
The successful candidate will assist the Membership Manager by providing high quality administrative support to deliver ISBA's membership service. The role also involves working in conjunction with the Events and Commercial Officer, Training and Marketing Manager and Director of Professional Development and Membership, and daily contact with ISBA members.
In order to apply for this role, you will need to fulfill the following criteria:
Experience in an administrative or customer service role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
Confident in the use of digital systems, spreadsheets and databases including CRM experience
Proficient in the use of online platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom etc
Strong organisational and numerical skills
Self-motivated, able to work under minimal supervision
Proactive and responsive approach to problem-solving
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style
High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data appropriately.
Remote working with home base being Hants/South Coast and occasional travel required.
