Purpose of the Role
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The role involves assisting with personal care, daily living activities, companionship, and health-related tasks as directed in the individual's care plan.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal Care
* Assist service users with washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and continence care.
* Support safe mobility, including use of equipment (hoists, frames, wheelchairs) where required.
* Nutrition & Hydration
* Support with meal preparation and encourage adequate food and fluid intake.
* Assist with feeding where necessary, following dietary needs and preferences.
* Medication Support
* Prompt or administer medication in line with training, policy, and care plan.
* Record all medication support accurately.
* Health & Wellbeing
* Observe, monitor, and report changes in service users' condition to the manager or healthcare professionals.
* Support service users with exercise and activities that promote wellbeing.
* Domestic Support
* Assist with light household tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping, to maintain a safe environment.
* Companionship & Emotional Support
* Provide reassurance, social interaction, and emotional support.
* Respect privacy, dignity, and choices at all times.
* Safeguarding & Compliance
* Work in line with safeguarding policies, reporting any concerns immediately.
* Maintain accurate and timely records of all care delivered.
* Follow health and safety procedures, infection control, and confidentiality policies.

Essential Requirements
* Previous care experience is desirable but not essential (full training will be provided).
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Right to work in the UK.
