Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? The Children’s Home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager to join their team in South East London.

About the Role
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in residential childcare, excellent leadership skills, and a deep commitment to creating safe, nurturing, and empowering environments for children and young people. To be considered, you must hold an NVQ Level 4 or Level 5 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent), possess a full UK driving licence, and have a proven track record in referrals and placements.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure high standards of care in line with children’s regulations and quality care standards.
* Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, motivation, and support.
* Plan, organise, and allocate resources effectively to meet service needs.
* Maintain compliance with childcare legislation, including child protection and safeguarding policies.
* Promote equal opportunities and inclusive practice within the home.
* Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues, families, and external agencies.
* Understand and manage the complex needs and behaviours of children with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) and LD (Learning Disabilities).
* Drive continuous improvement in line with Ofsted requirements and best practices in children’s residential care.
Experience & Qualifications
* Within the last five years, you must have worked for at least two years in a role relevant to the residential care of children, including at least one year in a position involving the supervision and management of staff.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent qualification as recognised by the registered provider.
* NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Caring for Children & Young People (actual or in progress).
* Full UK driving licence.

Preferred Skills
* Proven experience in referrals and placements.
