A well-regarded secondary school in Essex is looking for a Head of MFL to lead its dedicated and growing languages department from September 2025. The school offers French and Spanish and is keen to further develop a love for languages across the student body.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a subject leader who wants to shape curriculum, inspire learners, and lead a dynamic team in a supportive and progressive school environment.
🌍 About the Role:
Lead the delivery of French and/or Spanish across KS3–KS4 (KS5 optional depending on experience)
Line manage and support MFL teachers, including mentoring ECTs
Develop schemes of work, track pupil progress, and raise achievement
Promote languages across the school and contribute to the wider curriculum
Foster a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and cultural appreciation 🌟 What the School Offers:

PGCE with QTS – essential
