Data Analytics and Reporting Lead
The Data Analytics and Reporting Lead plays a pivotal role in transforming HR data into strategic insights that drive business performance and workforce effectiveness. This role is responsible for the provision of HR analytics, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and meaningful data to stakeholders across the business. By leveraging advanced analytics, reporting tools, and a deep understanding of HR metrics, the role supports evidence-based decision-making corporate people KPIs.
They will play a pivotal part in supporting the upgrade of our current HR Corporate system to a cloud-based system, and seamless transition of data, reporting and optimisation of new functionality to best serve business needs.
They will partner with HR, ICT, internal and external systems providers and business stakeholders, ensuring that data solutions are aligned with organisational priorities and compliant with data governance standards. In addition to technical expertise, the role requires strong communication and data storytelling skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategic HR and business decisions.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Option A:
Degree level qualification in a relevant subject e.g. Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field and two years' experience including all listed below.
OR
Option B:
Relevant certifications in Power BI, data analytics, SQL, HR analytics or HR Information Systems and two years' experience including all listed below.
OR
Option C:
A minimum of four years' experience including all listed below.
Experience must include:
* Corporate or HR data analysis and reporting within a large and complex organisation to drive strategic decision-making, communicating to a nontechnical audience.
* Engaging with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver corporate or HR data analysis and reporting.
* Advanced Power BI skills (including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling), with a proven record of developing user-centric dashboards and reports.
* Knowledge of database concepts (i.e. entities, attributes, relations, normalization).
* Understanding of data protection, GDPR, and confidentiality in handling people data.
2. Experience of adopting new technologies, developing solutions and enhancing reporting processes.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
In the event of a large number of applications, candidates may be short-listed on the following desirable criteria, in this order:
1. Experience using SQL and working with relational databases.
2. Experience of Oracle Business Intelligence tools or cloud-based HR systems (e.g. Oracle Cloud).
Salary
This Band 5 role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £35,354 - £47,138 per annum pro rata.
Salaries are reviewed annually effective 1st April.

The successful candidate may be required to travel to other NI Water sites as and when required.
