Expression of Interest
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) specialising in early childhood development, early language and literacy, early mathematics and related fields including child psychology, early years pedagogy, and inclusive education. This opportunity aligns specifically with learning programmes tailored for K-6 students.
Curio Faculty is building a talent pool of teachers and learning designers who have been involved in course development across a variety of subjects. We are focused on areas including maths, English, and personal wellbeing, particularly from K to 12, with an emphasis on the younger years, including K to 6 – education for juniors.
We invite expressions of interest from experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who have worked in teaching and learning design within these subjects and curriculum for K-12 education in the UK. Candidates must be based in the UK and hold relevant UK teaching qualifications.
Responsibilities
* SMEs will provide expertise to review and develop high-quality training modules and materials designed to improve educator confidence and learning outcomes for primary years students.
* Reviewing existing training modules and recommending updates.
* Developing and piloting new training content.
* Supporting training and mentoring of early years leads.
* Facilitating collaboration and sharing of best practice among early years educators.
Expected Commitment
* Work volumes and timelines will be confirmed based on project requirements.
* Engagement will be remote and contract-based.
Skills & Qualifications
* Extensive expertise in early childhood and primary years development or closely related disciplines aligned with UK K12 learning needs.
* Experience in curriculum development, training design, or direct teaching relevant to K12 education.
* Strong knowledge of effective teaching strategies and professional development for educators.
* Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and adapt materials for varied learner audiences.
* Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
Additional Information
* All successful candidates will undergo qualification verification and reference checks prior to engagement.
* Contractors may be required to hold a valid Working with Children Check depending on client requirements.
