We're looking for a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist school setting in Wakefield (WF2). Working full time, 8:45am-3:15pm, Monday to Friday, you'll play a key role in helping pupils access learning and build confidence.
Your Role:
* Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with additional needs
* Implement strategies for learning, communication, and emotional regulation
* Support with personal care and mobility, including moving and handling
* Communicate clearly and positively with pupils, staff, and families
* Promote independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour
What You'll Need:
* Experience in specialist SEND environments is essential
* Moving and handling training preferred
* Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication
* Resilience, patience, and an empathetic mindset
* DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
