We're looking for a Marketing Manager with the right mix of creativity, drive, and strategic thinking to join our team in Carlisle!
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a rewarding role within a small, friendly team—playing a key part in shaping how we connect with our audience and support the growth of Cumbrian businesses.
The role focuses on developing and delivering effective marketing and communications strategies and activities for the Chamber, Cumbria Business Growth Hub, Made in Cumbria, and other initiatives across the business (both B2B and B2C). You will need to engage actively with, provide services to, and ensure buy-in from SMT members and wider teams responsible for these activities.
We're seeking someone eager to drive the Chamber's activities forward, building on past successes and leveraging new technologies and opportunities.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Overall responsibility for marketing & communications strategy, campaign look and feel, and brand management.
2. Developing and implementing marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns, including budgets, to raise profile and encourage engagement.
3. Creating promotional resources like leaflets, flyers, case studies, stands, magazines, e-shots, etc.
4. Managing communications, web content, multimedia assets, including podcasts.
5. Managing websites for an effective user experience and SEO.
6. Acting as brand champion, ensuring consistency across all communications.
7. Branding approval for materials, working with funders, sponsors, and partners.
8. Supporting contact development efforts and system improvements.
9. Maintaining records and reporting on marketing activities and performance.
10. Organising and supporting events of various sizes.
11. Conducting and reporting on research.
12. Reviewing new technologies and digital marketing opportunities.
13. Managing membership recording and communication processes.
14. Developing and promoting member services.
15. Reporting to the Board on role activities.
16. Performing any other activities to support the company.
