Smile Education are recruiting for a school experienced Attendance Officer to start immediately for a school in Walsall.
This role will be full time Monday – Friday 08.00-16.00.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctuality
* Ongoing monitoring of attendance for students
* Identify students who require support with their attendance.
* Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern.
* Raise attendance issues with parents.
* Meet with both students and parents to support them to improve attendance.
* Meet with Education Welfare Officer on a weekly basis.
* Refer students who are not meeting attendance targets.
What to expect from applicants
We would like applicants to have prior experience working in an attendance-based role within education. Experience in using SIMS / CMIS / BROMCOM / ARBOR is essential.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following :
* Experience in school attendance.
* Have prior experience in using SIMS or CMIS / BROMCOM / ARBOR.
* Strong administrative skills.
* Excellent levels of communication.
