Purpose of the role
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality propositions and advice-skills training to both new and existing Progeny Planners and Paraplanners, using a blend of in-person, digital, and virtual learning methods. Acting as the primary L&D contact for Planners joining through acquisitions, the role ensures smooth integration by aligning training and development activities with project timelines and business requirements. It also plays a key part in championing the purpose and values of Progeny, promoting the Learning & Development function across the organisation.

Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and delivery of technical training content (policy, process, product, regulations and procedures).
Translate technical content into modular, accessible training to aid with learning and skills transfer.
Create compelling course content and learning activities that enhance retention and transfer of knowledge.
Delivery of new and existing Planner induction programmes as required.
Engage with colleagues to share insights, create efficiencies, and review the effectiveness of the training materials.
Design and deliver training content within agreed business timescales and any regulatory requirements.
Adapt and improve training based on Planner/stakeholder feedback.
Provide prompt feedback to the Line Manager and key stakeholders on any Planner/Paraplanner absenteeism and welfare concerns.
Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to identify training needs across the Planner and Paraplanner population.
Work with the digital learning team to define any requirements to support any e-learning and digital content.
Work within set budgetary requirements, reporting on expenditure as required.
Carry out any other reasonable duties (i.e. cover for absence) as requested by Management.
SM & CR responsibilities

Knowledge/Experience/Skills Required
Minimum of a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Proven experience in delivering proposition and advice skills-related training for Planners and Paraplanners.
Strong background in the Financial Services sector.
Skilled in workshop facilitation, lesson planning, and curriculum development, with the ability to tailor content to different learner levels.
Experience delivering training to both large groups and on a 1-2-1 basis.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant digital tools.
Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a strong ethical approach in all tasks.
Collaborative team player, able to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Service-oriented mindset, committed to delivering an excellent learner experience.
Strong active listening skills with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to support colleague development.
