Job Description – CNC Miller
Yorkshire Precision Engineering Ltd is a family‑run sub‑contract engineering company that supplies components to a wide range of industries, including subsea, medical, hydraulic, oil and gas, food industry and general engineering.
Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC vertical machining centers (Haas VF4, VF4ss, Super Mini Mill, Bridgeport V1000H with Heidenhain control)
* Produce high‑precision batch components ranging from a few units to thousands of units
* Operate machines using both Haas G/M code and Heidenhain control
* Work with a variety of general engineering and exotic materials
Required Skills
* Experience operating CNC vertical milling machines
* Proven milling experience
* Ability to inspect finished parts using inspection equipment
* Previous work in a precision manufacturing environment
* Read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience in a sub‑contract environment preferred
* Self‑motivated, dedicated, and work independently
* Willingness to assist colleagues when needed
Hours & Benefits
200 hours of holiday per year plus statutory holidays.
Work 40 hours per week over a 4‑day period (Monday‑Thursday). Shift options: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Includes a half‑hour lunch break and two paid 15‑minute breaks per day.
Overtime paid at time and a half.
Workplace pension scheme in place.
One additional day of holiday earned every three years of service.

Salary varies according to skill level.
