Robert Half is partnering a European manufacturing company in the appointment of a highly motivated and hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function at the South Manchester/Cheshire site. This is a new role due to the companies continued expansion.

Operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, providing insightful analysis, and supporting the leadership team in driving sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys a mix of operational involvement and strategic contribution within a dynamic, growing business.

The successful candidate will be hands on with strong technical ability and experience operating in a fast-paced, progressive business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing financial operations, including general ledger, management accounts, and reporting.

2. Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

3. Partner closely with operational and commercial teams to support decision-making and performance improvement.

4. Oversee cash flow management, working capital control, and cost analysis.

5. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and external audit requirements.

6. Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

7. Support pricing, costing, and margin analysis to enhance profitability.

8. Review and refine financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and data quality.

9. Assist with group reporting and coordination with head office finance teams as required.

YOU:

10. Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
11. Experience in manufacturing preferred but not essential
12. Experience operating a broader role within an SME
13. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, collaborative approach
14. Advanced Excel skills

This opportunity is offering hybrid working with onsite parking.
