The Role Responsibility for selling a portfolio of political and public sector engagement solutions to both new and existing clients. This will be achieved by developing and implementing a sales strategy and programme of business development activities to deliver increased growth across our print, digital and event products whilst meeting sales targets. Responsibilities Work across our portfolio of print, online and event solutions to identify and secure new business opportunities. Secure meetings with and present to senior management/board level prospects (including communications, public affairs, and agency professionals). Close business with prospects. Evaluate latest developments in public policy and identify business opportunities. Retain and build a portfolio of clients. Meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets. Liaise with internal stakeholders – (eg, editorial and event teams) to deliver client campaigns to a high standard). Update and maintain company systems as appropriate (CRM, production schedules, etc). Requirements An interest in politics, and a basic understanding of Scottish politics. A driven, ambitious, self-starter with experience in a customer facing role. Experience of working in a role with targets and KPI’s. Previous experience of working in events/media sales is beneficial but not essential. Experience with digital/social media sales is beneficial but not essential. Degree level education is beneficial but not essential.
