Job Description

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Application Support Officer for our client a local government organisation in Bristol.

The successful candidate will support extra work which has come into the Social Care Application Support team from a large transformation programme running in the Adult Social Care Department at the same time as they are planning to do a large upgrade on LAS & ContrOCC.

This role is a 3 month initial contract with the possibility to extend. This is a hybrid role where you can mainly work from home however as and when required they must attend the office. Expected to come to Bristol to collect your equipment and undertake an induction.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

* Manage the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of Application Support policies, processes, procedures and standards.
* Manage the implementation of service improvement working in partnership with internal/external stakeholders.
* Provide and monitor an effective Application Support Function. Manage the day-to-day activities, ensuring service levels are maintained and continually improved.
* Lead/oversee co-ordination of system upgrades.
* Ensure escalation of issues to system providers or Application Support Leader as appropriate.
* Ensure effective liaison with relevant suppliers and stakeholders providing best practice advice when appropriate.
* Analyse performance and make recommendations for improvements to process and user controls based on analysis of data and management information. Encourage and promote best practice, particularly in the area of customer service orientation.
* Ensure all processes reinforce effective data quality and data security.
* Lead and support the measurement and benchmarking of an Application Support Function that provides consistent processes, standards, and best practice.
* lead and manage a team of up to 10 staff members.

Personal Requirements:

* Extensive experience of LAS (Liquidlogic Adults System) and Controcc applications. (System C).
* Proven track record in supporting system upgrades, including testing.
* Experience with retention and purging configuration/processes.
* Skilled in LAS form development (CFR).
* Understanding of system configuration and data management.
* Ability to troubleshoot LAS/Controcc issues.
* Understanding of standard Adult Social Care processes. eg Assessments, DoLS, Safeguarding Adults.
* Understanding of information governance and compliance.

Working Hours: 37hrs/9:00am - 17:00pm/Monday to Friday

Pay: £350.00 per day

Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
