Job Title: Finance Assistant (Maternity Cover – 12 Months) * Location: Office Based – Teignbridge area * Hours: 25 hours per week (Ideally Mon–Fri, flexible to consider 4 days) * Hourly Rate: £12.50 * Contract: Fixed Term – 12 Months Maternity Cover (To Start ASAP) Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for a part-time opportunity within a supportive and collaborative environment? Our client, a well-established business in the hospitality and leisure sector, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team for a 12-month maternity cover. This is an office-based role offering excellent on-site facilities, including parking, a gym, and staff discounts across many services. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the purchase ledger, including invoice processing, credit notes, and supplier statement reconciliations. * Accurately post income and perform bank reconciliations using accounting software. * Respond to customer and supplier queries via phone and email. * Support with monthly accruals, prepayments, and ad hoc sales invoicing. * Assist with payroll and timesheet queries. * Carry out administrative tasks, including filing and financial reporting support. * Alert management to any accounting errors or inconsistencies. Requirements: * Previous experience in a finance or accounts role. * Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills. * Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). * Effective communicator with a professional approach. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
