Advanced Technical Trainer - Rail Engineering. Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week. Closing date: Midnight Sunday 9th November. Assessment Centre Date: To be confirmed.
About the role
Due to significant growth in the Engineering department, we’re looking for a motivated and innovative Advanced Technical Trainer to deliver high-quality, progressive training and assessment for Rail Apprentices. This is a vital role to the Engineering department, providing practical delivery to our Apprentices who are on block release from their employers.
Key responsibilities
* Plan, develop, and deliver rail apprenticeship training that meets industry and accreditation standards.
* Lead and mentor students through engaging theory, practical, and assessment activities.
* Conduct vocational assessments both on-site and off-site for our national programmes.
* Work flexibly across all areas of the Engineering department to share knowledge and expertise.
* Provide guidance and support to apprentices and employer partners.
The successful candidate will
* Industry experience in rail operations, maintenance, or engineering.
* A minimum Level 3 qualification in Rail Engineering or a related field.
* Strong teaching, training, or mentoring skills (teaching qualifications desirable but not essential).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety standards, and qualifications.
* A passion for innovation and inspiring the next generation of rail professionals.

Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands-on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.

Please note this role constitutes regulated activity as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
