We've partnered with the exciting menswear clothing brand, Built Different, to find a Head of Operations who can lead operations as they scale.

Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Operations with a proven track record in e-commerce to take full ownership of Built Different’s backend operations. This role will oversee finance, supply chain, and general operations, ensuring seamless execution across logistics, inventory, and e-commerce systems. As the internal “problem-solver,” you’ll tackle challenges, streamline processes, and build scalable systems to support our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
* P&L Ownership: Produce accurate and timely profit and loss reporting on a weekly, monthly, and campaign-specific basis to drive strategic decision-making.
* Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Manage stock levels, oversee reorder processes, and coordinate supplier timelines and 3PL partnerships to ensure stock availability and efficiency.
* 3PL & Logistics Oversight: Manage third-party logistics providers, ensuring performance metrics are met and shipping/logistics processes are optimised for cost and speed.
* E-commerce Backend Management: Oversee Shopify backend operations, manage apps, and resolve any technical or operational issues to ensure a smooth customer experience.
* Process Development: Build and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for returns, customer service, and other operational areas to support scalability.
* Problem Solving: Act as the go-to leader for resolving unowned operational challenges, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently without escalating to founders.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the external accountant/bookkeeper, customer service team, freelance demand planner, e-commerce assistant, product developer, suppliers/manufacturers, and Shopify developers to align operations with business goals.
* Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on key operational metrics, providing actionable insights to optimise performance and support growth.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, ideally within a consumer goods, fashion, or apparel brand.
* Proven expertise in managing 3PL relationships and global supply chains.
* Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors to drive cost efficiencies.
* Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
* Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
* Familiarity with Shopify (or similar e-commerce platforms), inventory management systems, and ERP tools is a strong advantage.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
