Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Orthopaedic Directorate at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. We are thrilled to be expanding our team and are looking for Band 5 Staff Nurses to help shape and deliver outstanding care within our Elective Orthopaedic Unit. This purpose‑built 13‑bed department features self‑contained side rooms, offering an excellent environment for focused, high‑quality patient care. As a fast‑paced unit supporting a wide range of elective orthopaedic procedures, no two days will be the same. About We’re seeking dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional, evidence‑based care. In this role, you will take an active lead in: Assessing, planning and implementing patient care Evaluating care outcomes and continuously improving standards Promoting GIRFT principles to support patient flow and maximise efficiency Collaborating with the wider MDT and working closely with the NIC/Senior Sister You’ll be a committed and compassionate nurse with strong communication and interpersonal skills—someone who thrives in a supportive, forward‑thinking team. Main duties of the job To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without direct supervision. We will invest in specialty‑specific training, continuous development, and skills updates to help you progress confidently in your orthopaedic nursing career.
