Area Sales Manager
This is a permanent full-time position, working a 36 hour week (during the trial). The successful candidate will report directly to the National Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical guidance to prospective users, with consultation from the National Sales Manager (NSM), Sales Director (SD), or technical department for highly specialised cases.
* Ensure the final offer accurately reflects the scope of works and is fully costed.
* Coordinate with team members to hand over the scope of works and relevant information in a timely manner.
* Provide sales reports as required by the NSM and SD.
* Attend Sales Meetings, Sales Conferences, and Exhibitions as deemed necessary by the NSM or SD.
* Negotiate special discounts with the NSM or SD to obtain orders when appropriate.
* Report relevant information on competitors and customer complaints to the appropriate personnel/department.
* Do not commit the company to any specialised manufacture without consultation with the SD or other relevant Director.
* When necessary, stay overnight for training, office visits, exhibitions, or customer calls that require extended consultations.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, including QA, Health & Safety, confidentiality, and the Employee Handbook.

* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills - essential
* Ability to analyse sales performance data and identify improvement opportunities - desirable
* Excellent planning and communication (verbal and written) skills – essential
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment – essential
* Full UK driving licence – essential
* Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory – essential
* Understanding of building regulations or standards relevant to the company’s products - desirable
* Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
* Competent in the use of Microsoft 365 – essential
* Experience with Infor Logic “Syteline” Estimation and project software – desirable
