We are recruiting into our Southampton‑based Real Estate team and welcome applications from Commercial Property Solicitors with extensive property experience. The team represents investors, developers, banks, occupiers, local authorities and charities, delivering highly regarded work across the region.
Responsibilities
If successful you will be expected to handle a mix of public and private sector work, supporting senior colleagues on retail leases, mixed‑use development matters, due diligence and client support. You will work on high‑value deals in a fast‑paced environment and contribute independently and as part of the wider team.
Typical Workload
* Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases, licences, transfers, deeds, etc.
* Undertake due diligence tasks: title review, raising enquiries, reviewing searches.
* Liaise with clients and opposing counsel.
* Obtain quotes for indemnity policies and coordinate with insurance brokers/underwriters.
* Conduct legal research.
* Attend client or cross‑party meetings.
Skills / Experience Required
Experience in a leading national or regional firm with substantial real estate work (retail leases, agreements, development matters) is essential. Knowledge of property finance or development is highly desirable.
